As an Industrial Refrigeration Chiller Systems Technician, you will be the hands-on expert ensuring uptime, performance, and safety.Your impact Own scheduled maintenance that prevents downtime and maximizes system life.Diagnose and resolve issues on installed chiller equipment with precision and speed.Execute component-level repairs and replacements to restore reliability.Install, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems, including: refrigerant handling, instrumentation, control valves, motors, motor controls, motor switch gear, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), soft-starts, pumps, exchangers, filter, and refrigeration controllers.Model safe work practices and comply with company and industry safety standards.Position may require working up to 15% (no more than 300 hours) overtime throughout the year, as directed by the client and/or upper management.Take on additional assignments as needed.Expertise you bring Calm, effective work style in fast-paced and occasionally stressful situations.Strong analytical mindset and troubleshooting ability.Extensive knowledge of chiller systems and associated equipment.Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.Skill using thermometers, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic instruments to evaluate equipment.Ability to read and interpret operation and repair manuals.Consistent follow-through on instructions and procedures.Exceptional mechanical aptitude.Professional communication skills for customer interactions.Background preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.Three years of related experience preferred.Work environment and physical expectations Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required.Spend prolonged periods in a stationary position when needed.Climb ladders to access equipment.Transport up to 50 pounds at a time.Note This description summarizes the primary duties of the Chiller Service Technician at Smart Family of Cooling Products and is not exhaustive.
