Security Service Technician

Description:

Primary Role:The Security Service Technician provides service and support (remotely and on-site) to our customers with the express purpose of wowing them through service excellence. We achieve excellence through responsive and professional communications, excellent troubleshooting resulting in quick problem resolution, strong attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. Hours are typically 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday with limited nights and weekends. Some travel is required. Pay commensurate with experience.Responsibilities:* Adhere to company policies and procedures* Maintain professional attitude with emphasis on teamwork and service excellence* Present a professional image in both personal and vehicle appearance* Take proper care of company assets used in performance of work* Ensure that all assigned tickets are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures and completed in a timely manner* Promote, build, and maintain customer relations and assist with contract retention* Keep stakeholders and service system up to date (daily) on progress of work* Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, and other specifications to install, commission, and repair devices and systems* Troubleshoot and diagnose complex access control and video surveillance problems, including hardware, software, cabling, and networking issues* Consult with support to efficiently resolve difficult or unusual technical issues* Update firmware and device configurations* Perform preventative maintenance tasks* Perform all work in accordance with governmental code and safety regulations* Attend and complete training programs as requested* Other duties as assignedQualifications:* Degree in electronics and 3+ years' experience installing and supporting access control and video surveillance systems* Software experience in Axis, Avigilon, Milestone, LenelS2, and i-Pro (Preferred)* Clean driving record, drug screen, and background checkBenefits:Avinext offers comprehensive benefits with a focus on helping employees build towards their future.
