Description:

Seeking an analytical communicator who is adept at balancing multiple projects with strong deadlines for our Energy Services Consultant position with SEnergy.

The successful candidate will consult with customers on projects focused around power supply, regulatory compliance, financial services, and energy services. The position includes strategy development, contract negotiation, analysis of highly fluid data, forecasting, and regulatory monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Energy Risk Management
  • 3-5 years of experience in Energy Risk Management (managing, optimizing, and developing energy portfolios for utility clients) and Trading
  • Effective communication skills
  • Successful history in contract negotiation

Additional desired but not required experience:

  • Energy trading and resource optimization
  • Financial forecasting
  • ERCOT Market and Compliance Monitoring
  • Fuel Hedging Risk Management
  • PUCT Compliance Monitoring

The fundamental responsibility of this position is to deliver quality consulting services that meet our customers' demands.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop power supply strategies, resource planning, and resource optimization.
  • Assess and manage risk within customer power supply strategies and portfolios.
  • Consult with customers on power supply strategies, risk management plans, and resource optimization.
  • Negotiate power supply contract quotations and contracts with customers.
  • Support clients and ensure projects are completed on time and successfully fulfilled.
  • Develop and implement strategies for fuel hedging and risk management.
  • Develop and implement Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR) strategies.
  • Stay updated on market changes and technologies related to Energy regulatory compliance and recommend changes for business continuity.
  • Communicate effectively with clients in a timely manner, responding to inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Develop new techniques or improve existing processes, materials, or products.
  • Assist management and staff as a technical advisor or specialist.
  • Serve as the technical expert in applying advanced concepts, principles, and methods in the assigned area.
