The Sales Director role leads leaders and offers the opportunity to grow something impactful within the organization. This small to medium sales segment (SMB) is rapidly growing and requires an innovative and inspiring leader who can bring experience and fresh ideas, guiding our Sales Managers toward greater success. What You'll Be Doing:

The Director, Sales - SMB reports directly to the Global Head of Sales and is a key member of the Senior Sales Leadership Team (SSLT). You will oversee the work and performance of leaders managing quota-carrying account executives in small and mid-market opportunities, focusing on customers & prospects in Financial Institutions with less than $2B in assets and non-financial institutions with less than $500M in annual sales revenue.

You will also manage the team's budget, enforce governance, and support leaders and account executives to meet sales targets. Your accountability includes monitoring key performance indicators and providing coaching and mentorship to enhance team performance.

Fostering a strong culture is vital for WK Compliance Solutions. The SMB sales segment leader will nurture and maintain this culture by partnering with other SSLT members, inspiring sales leaders, generating enthusiasm within the segment, and collaborating with functions like marketing, product, sales, Solutions Consulting, and Relationship Management to support go-to-market strategies.

Key Tasks:

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the Vice President, Global Head of Sales's strategic direction.
  2. Integrate new accounts from acquisitions to support growth and ensure smooth transitions.
  3. Work with sales teams and data teams to set account segmentation thresholds and apply these criteria to acquisitions.
  4. Establish and monitor sales metrics to maximize quota achievement, managing forecasts and budgets effectively.
  5. Analyze sales performance and identify growth opportunities to meet revenue, growth, and retention goals.
  6. Monitor the sales pipeline for potential new, cross-sell, or up-sell opportunities.
  7. Create workforce plans, hire approved positions, and develop sales resources as needed.
  8. Coach sales leaders and reps to support deal closures and talent development.
  9. Foster an engaged, motivated, and high-performing team culture.
  10. Build internal relationships with other sales leaders and teams.
  11. Stay informed about industry trends and regulations to enhance WK CS's expertise and brand presence.

Qualifications:

Education: BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience.

  • At least 10 years of sales leadership and management experience with a successful track record.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience leading other leaders.
  • Expertise in sales tech stacks like SFDC, GONG, and GONG Engage.
  • Deep knowledge of sales strategy, territory development, and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, suitable for senior management interactions.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and team-building skills.
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
