An asphalt plant laborer will provide maintenance and repair of asphalt plant, and conveyor systems. Will also perform a wide range of general laboring duties at the asphalt plant.Minimum Qualifications:* Previous experience working at a plant or in a construction-related field is preferred.* Valid driver's license and reliable transportion is preferred.* Must be willing to work overtime as directed, and able to work extended hours if needed.* Must be able to work long hours in all weather conditions.* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:* Perform clean-up duties, oiling, lubrication, and miscellaneous repairs.* Responsible for seeing that all safety equipment is in place at all times.* Visually and audibly monitor plant components while in operation and notify plant supervisor of any inconsistencies.* Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.* Timely and regular attendance is essential.* Perform other duties as instructed.Notice:Because of the nature of work at Knife River, the person in this position may be expected to work any shift and at various locations based on company needs and the duties of the position may change at any time and may not be identified in this job description.
