Job Responsibilities:
-Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures based on physician orders.
-Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.
-Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and adequate visualization.
-Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret and provide accurate imaging results.
-Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, following standard safety protocols.
-Record and maintain patient data and documentation accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
-Clean and prepare equipment between procedures according to infection control guidelines.
-Stay current on advancements in sonography technology and procedures through continuing education.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field (Bachelor s preferred).
- Certification: RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or eligible, with certifications in specialties (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular) preferred.
- Experience: Specify if new graduates are accepted or if experience is required, e.g., 1-2 years preferred
- Skills:
-Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to sonography
-Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment
-Excellent communication and patient care skills
-Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and produce high-quality imaging results
