Description:

DescriptionThe Stock Clerk performs warehouse functions which include but are not limited to receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, and compiling stock records of items within the warehouse and/or storage yard, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities utilizing the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). It requires consideration of program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.The Stock Clerk sorts, weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, stores articles in bins, on the floor, or on shelves according to identifying information, such as style, size, type, or material. The role also involves filling orders or issuing supplies from stock, preparing periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitioning articles to fill incoming orders.Responsibilities include compiling reports on the use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments. The Stock Clerk may mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, distribute stock among production workers, keep records of material issued, adjust or repair articles carried in stock, and may cut stock to size to fill orders. This is done in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), GCSS-Army End User Manual, and system policies, as well as adherence to all safety policies and compliance with all local/federal laws, policies, and procedures. All documents/files will be maintained in accordance with the Army Record Information Management System and Contract/Corporate requirements. This job is extremely customer service-oriented and requires the capability to understand the requisition document flow process of parts as well as the mission of the units/organizations we support.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years of age with a valid state driver's licenseMust pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.Former U.S. Army MOS 92A or 92Y preferred.Warehouse experience preferred.Performs additional duties as needed.The employee works under the Warehouse Supervisor's direction, receiving assignments via written orders or verbal instructions, and is expected to perform independently or as part of a team.Must be able to read, write, and speak English.Must be computer literate.Must be able to work in a team environment, including extended periods in hot, dusty, and windy conditions.Must be able to climb and work at heights of up to 10 feet above ground.Must obtain a company-issued forklift license within the first 90 days of employment.This has physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs. with no restrictions, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
